1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”) and DZG STUDIO LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of the Reed macOS application. By accessing or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Plans and purchases

Reed is available as a free app with an optional one-time Pro license:

• Free: Reed may be used indefinitely without a payment card or Reed account, with up to 3,000 words each day. The allowance resets daily on your Mac. Current core features are included in Free.
• Pro: A one-time license removes the daily word limit on one authorized Mac. The current website price is $49.99 USD before applicable taxes or local adjustments. The price shown at checkout controls your purchase.
• No subscription: Pro has no recurring charge, renewal, or subscription. Product updates are included while Reed is maintained. Separately branded future products may require a separate purchase.
• More than one Mac: A standard direct Pro license covers one Mac. Contact [email protected] before purchase if you need a multi-Mac license.

Direct payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. If Reed is offered through the Mac App Store, Apple’s purchase, restore, and billing terms apply to those transactions.

3. License Activation

A direct Pro purchase includes a unique activation key for one authorized Mac. The license is personal, limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable. You may not publish, share, resell, or use a key to activate unauthorized devices. Contact support when replacing an authorized Mac or arranging a multi-Mac license.

4. Use of the Application

You may use Reed for lawful personal or business dictation. You agree not to modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, redistribute, bypass usage limits, interfere with license validation, or use Reed in violation of law or another person’s rights. Reed processes dictation content on device; limited network requests may still be used for purchases, license activation and validation, updates, website analytics, and support as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

The Application, including its source code, design, and functionality, is owned by DZG STUDIO LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

Read carefully

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Application is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that Reed will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for high-risk decisions. Transcription and cleanup can be incorrect; review important text before relying on or sending it.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DZG STUDIO LLC is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Reed. Our total liability for claims relating to Reed will not exceed the amount you paid for the Application. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Refunds

Direct license purchases: Direct Pro purchases include a 30-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee. Contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. This guarantee does not limit any non-waivable consumer rights.

App Store purchases: Refunds for licenses purchased via the Apple App Store are subject to Apple’s standard refund policy and must be requested through Apple Support (reportaproblem.apple.com).

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
